I would rather stand at the gate of the house of my God. —Psalm 84:10 GNT

Says one little tree: "I'm planted by the gate, accepting my station. God knows what is happening within those mansion walls. He also sees the inner rooms of my own mind and heart. I am His disciple and choose to be content where He has placed me and will work hard.
"But still at times, the grass looks greener on the other side of fence and though I try to hide it, occasionally I might be found weeping. And that's when I remember Jesus' promise that he is preparing a special place for me in His Father's house where there are many mansions (John 14:2)."
Prayer
Lord, thank you for planting me in this place. Let me be found glorifying You in every moment.
Quote
Whether contemplation, meditation, prayer, inward silence, intuition, quietude, or activity are what we wish for ourselves, the best is God's purpose for us at the present moment. Souls must look upon everything as though it were a matter of complete indifference, and, seeing only him in all things, must take or leave them as he wishes so as to live, be nourished by, and hope in him alone and not by any power or virtue which does not come from him.//Jean-Pierre de Caussade (1675-17510)
Thought
Hidden tears can be a form of worship when we offer them to Him.
Question
Where might God be inviting me to stop peering over the fence and instead notice the quiet graces at work in the soil where I am planted?
