Not Perfect

Who can understand sins? From my secret ones cleanse me, O Lord.
– Psalm 19:12 DRB

Look closely and you'll see that the beautiful ceiling of this church isn't perfect. It shows peeling paint and perhaps some damage. From a distance, though, it looks beautiful!
God's Church – the building and the people – although imperfect, remains a place of intrigue and beauty.
Prayer
Lord, help us to appreciate the beauty of Your Church, despite the flaws in ourselves and others.
Quote
“If I had never joined a church till I had found one that was perfect, I should never have joined one at all; and the moment I did join it, if I had found one, I should have spoiled it, for it would not have been a perfect church after I had become a member of it. Still, imperfect as it is, it is the dearest place on earth to us.”
//Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892)
Thought
Each one of us contributes to the imperfection as well as to the beauty.
