Past the Prime?

I have been young, and now am old.

Psalm 37:25 (RSV)

Feeling old, dried out, past your prime?

Not so fast, friend. Perhaps God wants you as a base the foundational element for a special work He is doing. Without your presence, the other features would be ordinary and less grounded.

Lord, give me faith that You have a special purpose for me at this stage of my life.

We must lovingly leave some work to others and not seek to have all the crowns.

// St. Francis de Sales

Is there a way in which you feel dried out, brushed aside or let down? Ask God to make you useful in your current place.
