The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. – Psalm 138:8 (KJV)

God promises He will bring to completion that which he began in us. We play a part in this process, being responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our spiritual lives.

Over time we can fall into routines which might need some purposeful rejuvenation. The improvement process may feel involved, but the results will be fresh and clear.

Prayer

Lord, is there any part of my spiritual life that is looking shabby? Give me Your eyes to see what areas need some sprucing up and bring about improvement in my inner spiritual home.

Quote

To live is to change, and to be perfect is to have changed often.

// St. John Henry Cardinal Newman (1801-1890)

Thought

Think of one specific way that improvement can be made within your spiritual life  – a change that will encourage closeness with the Lord.

I am reading your book Minding Mom, right now, this morning I read # 41, From Boots to Armchair, enjoyed it very much.

I am 85 years old, my wife died in 2014, the day before Valentines day, I still miss her, and will always love Her.
