Future generations will serve him; they will speak of the Lord to the coming generation.
—Psalm 22:30 GNT
I'm excited to announce a guest post this week, written by my 12-year-old granddaughter who is a writer herself! Her name is Iael /yah-elle/, Hebrew for the Biblical heroine Jael. Included at the end is a bio and headshot. Enjoy!
Night Thoughts
I lie awake; I am like a lonely bird on the housetop. —Psalm 102:7 NRSV

Sometimes we find ourselves lying awake at night, alone with our own troubled thoughts. What is our response when a trial is weighing on our mind?
The apostle Peter said it beautifully: "Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you." God is always ready and waiting for us to tell him our trials as well as our delights and restore unto us the joy of our salvation.
Prayer
Dear God,
Thank you that we can tell you everything. Help us to know that we are not alone when going through hard times. You are always there, listening, and ready to comfort.
Quote
The best prayers have often more groans than words. //John Bunyan (1628-1688)
Thought
Are you going through a hard time? Don't forget there is a merciful Father to whom you can unburden yourself; for he hears us.
