What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror; then we shall see face-to-face. — I Corinthians 13:12 (GNT)

This month marks the three-year anniversary of "Olive Tree Blog” on lisalivezey.com. The photo devotions you view are often drafted weeks, sometimes months, prior to the date posted.
While the content of each devotion is created and assembled by 'yours truly,' the timing of release often surprises me by speaking to something relevant in my own life at time of posting! It is like seeing myself in the mirror unexpectedly.
How did the God of the Universe know what I needed to hear just then? I surprised myself — or perhaps it's more accurate to say that God surprised me!
Prayer
Infinite God who supersedes time and space, thank you for sustaining us, even in something as small as the timing of a short devotion.
Quote
There something of man, which neither the spirit of man that is in him, itself knoweth. But Thou, Lord, knowest all of him, Who hast made him.
//St. Augustine of Hippo (354-430 A.D.)
Thought
God knows us far better than we know ourselves, and He knows the future.

This time of year, there is much talk of ghosts. Here's a little piece for which I was the ghostwriter, telling of a possible angel sighting. It was published in Guideposts' Angels on Earth magazine in 2024.
