Be determined and confident! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go. —Joshua 1:9 GNT

The path I have trod for decades is ending. I would prefer to take a right turn and keep walking the warm, conversant way. But that path isn't an option and time is thrusting me forward into a new walk.
My thoughts return often to the familiar times that have somehow slipped away. It's been thirty-five years to the day. Now it's 35 + 1. What do You have for me, Lord, in this unknown, stark place?
It looks new to me, although countless others have led the way. Help me to give thanks despite my heart cry. And thank you for being present in all seasons.
Prayer
So come, my Sov'reign; enter in! Let new and nobler life begin; Holy Spirit guide us on,Until the glorious crown is won. Amen. (George Weissel, 1642, Tr. Catherine Winkworth)
Quote
His purposes will ripen fast, Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.
—William Cowper (1774)
