Speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual canticles, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord. – Ephesians 5:19 DRB

My dad carried in his wallet a handwritten list of his favorite hymns and Christian choruses. I can remember him singing many of the songs on the list.
Do we carry songs around to help us get through each day? One of my favorite hymns is "St. Patrick's Breastplate." And believe it or not, there's no mention of green beer anywhere in the song!
Prayer
Lord, let me make melody to You every day. I offer up to You the sacrifice of praise.
Quote
Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

Thought
Think of a favorite spiritual song to carry with you today.
*On March 17th, I will post the entire St. Patrick's Breastplate Prayer on my Facebook page.

"I love the blending of scripture, reflection, and real-life observations. Lisa’s very personal and insightful view sets Minding Mom apart from other books in this genre. I highly recommend that anyone who wants to contemplate life, where they’re going, and where they’ve been, not just read this book but sit with it and let it become absorbed into their system. They will be the richer for it."
