And the vessel was broken which he was making with clay with his hands: and turning he made another vessel, as it seemed good in his eyes to make it. – Jeremiah 18:4 DRB
Home, sweet homes...

And then suddenly –

Home, grief home ...
Suffering ensues. Will the predator return, or has he gone elsewhere to steal, kill, calumniate, and destroy – leaving tender, unsuspecting ones cut to the quick and attempting to rebuild?
Jacob of the Old Testament lost his son Joseph – through evil initiated by Joseph's own brothers. Decades of grief later, Jacob saw God bring restoration and use the unthinkable tragedy to bring about provision for his family in unique ways.
Prayer
Gentle Jesus... Hear the cries of our brothers and sisters who have been gravely harmed, and the cries of those who love them. Soothe their restless hearts with hope, steady their shaken spirits with faith. Grant them justice for their cause, enlightened by your truth. Holy Spirit, comforter of hearts, heal your people’s wounds and transform brokenness into wholeness... Amen. //USCCB
Quote
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. //St. Thomas More (1478 - 1535)
Thought
