Blessed are those who dwell in thy house, ever singing thy praise!
—Psalm 84:4 RSV
It is said that to sing to the Lord is to pray twice. What if one sings and plays an instrument as well? Perhaps that is called "praying thrice!"
Scripture says that God sings, too. He will rejoice over us with singing! (Zeph. 3:17)
Prayer
I need You, Lord. Every hour I need You.
Quote
And while we sing, remembering to sing is to doubly pray. At once in our hearts and our tongues, we offer double prayer sent heavenward on winged notes to praise God dwelling there. //St. Cecilia of Rome (200- c.230 AD)
Thought
What song might I lift up heartily to God this day and thus "doubly” or “triply” pray?

I'm excited about being a guest on the At Home with Jim and Joy show, October 1st and 2nd. We will be talking about seeing God’s providence in the call to be a caregiver and how humble honest prayer each day can lead to deeper understanding of God’s Will in our lives.
