After three years’ training they were to enter the king’s service.

- Daniel 1:5 (NAB)

Untrained.

Wild, weepy, blows with the wind. Decorative, beautiful perhaps, but not particularly useful.

Trained.

Dependable, solid, unified, decorative, interesting, helpful;

serves a practical purpose.

Prayer

Lord, please guide and train me little by little so that I can be the most useful to Your kingdom.

Quote

"No one is suddenly made perfect." //St. Bede the Venerable

Reflection

Is there an area of your life that feels cut back and perhaps restricted? Maybe God wants to use that area for a special purpose. It could take some years. Be patient amidst the pruning process.
