Hearken, my dearest brethren: hath not God chosen the poor in this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which God hath promised to them that love him? —James 2:5 DRB

He was born in a humble place to a poor family. Now, He reigns high in the heavens in His rightful place. Can you see Him up there on the highest mountain?
We are told that the poor in spirit are blessed for they shall see God. Poverty can be financial, or health-related, or relational when feeling alone, or emotional, or? When finding oneself in a place of poverty, there is a vulnerability which creates space for receiving Jesus.
Let every heart prepare Him room this day.
Prayer
Room in my heart, room in my heart, I make room in my heart for You dear Jesus — King of Glory — on this most Holy of days and every day.
Quote
Go to the poor: you will find God.
//St. Vincent de Paul (1581-1660)
Thought
His Presence is our present.
